About Me
Me and Starbuck 7/31/12
Hi, My name is Jolene Collins, I am 12 years old and have owned rabbits since 2010.
My first rabbit was a baby cotton tail. At my mom's work, a vet hospital, a baby bunny had been brought in, it had been caught by a dog, it was very, small, it's eyes were hardly open. My mom took it home with some kitten milk replacer and I took care of it, feeding it milk with an eye dropper. he survived, and after he was about 8 weeks old we but him in a dog igloo out in out pasture with food, we were going to do errandds and we decided that if he was still in the igloo when he returned, he was tame and had to be kept as a pet. If he was gone, he was still a wild bunny and could live in his natural habitat. He turned out to be wild, and he is still living in out pasture fending for himself.
In June of 2010, I got my first bunny, a mixed breed, Panda. After that I got my Holland Lop doe, Breezy. When she was old enough she was bred to a friend's Holland buck, Skittles. I kept two babies. That summer @ the Gallatin Valley Fair, I saw a Lionhead. I fell in love with them and got Sage and Wildfire.
Wildfire matured into a pet but Sage turned out a nice little buck. I got Shamrock in March 2012 and Marshmallow in June 2012. I sold Wildfire to a nice pet home and one of Breezy's babies. I got Rodeo and a pair of silver marten Netherland Dwarfs. I plan to get a few more Lionheads and a Holland Lop doe.
I hope you enjoy my website~~
